Description
Chateauguay is on the beachfront at Ma-Me-O Beach, which is on Pigeon Lake, Alberta. Pigeon Lake is the largest lake in central Alberta. Ma-Me-O is a one hour drive South of Edmonton, Alberta and is located just outside the David Thompson area of the Province. The David Thompson area provides access to the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains.Pigeon Lake is a clean, clear lake with a sandy bottom. The lake is ideal for small children as the water is shallow at the shore and less than 1 metre (3 ft.) for about 25 metres (80 ft) out from shore. The beach itself is sandy. The cabin is located about 25 metres from the edge of the water. The lake has an abundance of fish consisting of Northern Pike, Pickerel, Whitefish and some Perch so bring your boat! With the exception of the Northern Pike, this is a catch and release lake.
