Description
Lima faces the Pacific Ocean on western coast of Peru, situated in the center of an incredible landscape of coastal deserts and rainforest jungles, glacier-capped mountains and the highest navigable lake in the world. Lima's nearly 500-year history is as varied as the landscape around it, with centuries of regional dominance followed by tumultuous periods marked by war and devastating earthquakes.
